Anniversary at the track

For John and Donna Lewandowski, it’s been twenty-six laps around the sun together, and, to celebrate the moment, the couple booked an RV from Good Sam RV Rentals for NASCAR’s Championship Weekend. It would be an anniversary celebrating each other and also the excitement, thrill, and adrenaline of the raceway.

Good Sam RV Rentals made it easy, delivering the RV straight to the track, giving John and Donna more time to soak in the action. “It takes all the logistics out,” John said, “so we don’t even have to worry.”

Victory laps

John said that when it comes to “hearing the motors, feeling the motors, smelling the rubber…it’s a whole experience,” and one his family will remember for a long time. “We’re gonna love it as a family.”

As a veteran for over two decades, John has made a lot of sacrifices for this country–not the least of which includes quality time with the people he loves.

“When I was in the military I missed a lot of time with my kids growing up,” John said. But thanks to this trip, “We’re doing a little bit of catchup. It’s special, and it’s going to be memories that [I'll] remember for a long time.”

For John’s family, it’s a shared sentiment of time well spent, emphasized by the adrenaline of the track and the American flag waving above. “I love that giant flag,” Donna shared. “John fought for 20 years for that flag and went into a war zone for that flag. It means a lot to us.”

From the love of family, country, and all the things that make life an adventure, this was a weekend of victory laps for the Lewandowskis.
