From the air to an RV

For Daphni, aka Yung Jetlag, finding incredible destinations isn’t just her passion–it’s her occupation. As a flight attendant, she’s spent a lot of time in the air seeking new experiences. But this trip found her and her friend Joel grounded in all the best ways.

Renting a Class C with Good Sam RV Rentals allowed Daphni and Joel to experience more and see Lake Powell in Arizona through a new lens. When she’s flying, “it’s always go-go-go,” Daphni said. But, with RVing, she can move at a slower pace, unplug, and really bask in the beauty around her.

New perspectives

Daphni caught the travel bug in college and has since explored the world, but this was her first time to ever rent an RV, giving her more time to explore and enjoy the best of what Arizona has to offer.

Despite frequenting Arizona, she “never knew [Lake Powell] existed” or how gorgeous Arizona was from the road.

Traveling by RV, helicopter, and jetski, Daphni got just about every perspective she could. “The water was so serene and the contrasting canyons surrounding [were] stunning,” she said. “It’s one thing to see pictures online, but to see it for yourself is incomparable.”

Shared experiences

Daphni discovered the freedom and adventure opportunities RVing offers and has advice for those nervous to take the leap: “Don’t be scared. If I can do it, then anyone can.” She added, “Bring a friend along for the journey. My good friend Joel came to Arizona with me, and not only did I feel more at ease, but figuring things out together made it so much more fun.”

“The world is such a big, beautiful place, and it’s yours to connect with," she said. "Don’t let anyone or anything stop you from exploring.”
