The Mallard has been part of our family for years now, and she’s taken us to some of the most beautiful corners of Colorado — quiet mornings outside Steamboat, that perfect site at Rocky Mountain National Park where elk wander through camp at dawn, sunset over the Sand Dunes. Now we’d love to share her with your family.
She’s a 2017 Heartland Mallard M185 UltraLite, and at just 4,450 lbs fully loaded, she’s the kind of trailer that makes RVing actually fun instead of stressful. No diesel dually required — most half-ton pickups and a lot of capable SUVs can pull her without breaking a sweat. If this is your first time towing, don’t worry; I’ll walk you through everything.
