Owner Joe Kay grew up traveling the country visiting as many national and state parks as he could with his family. Having sustained a horrible motorcycle accident in 2021, becoming paralyzed on one side and losing much of the use of his arms, Joe bought a camper hoping to continue that tradition in a more accommodating way. He found a visible need for rental campers in his area, an easier way for families to experience the outdoors. Joe hopes to enable more people and children to enjoy the adventures of camping and exploring this beautiful country. Joe built H&K with family and family friends, keeping the tradition of family adventure alive.
