  • My Rentals: Where you will find all current, past, or future rental bookings
  • My Favorites: Any RVs you've favorited on the site
  • My RVs: This applies to owners only
  • My Account: All account information, including payment information
Searching for an RV

On the homepage, enter the location you are looking to rent an RV into the search bar. You can filter your results by class, price, amenities, etc. If an owner offers delivery, the listing will say 'Delivered from' on the search results page.

Messaging an Owner

You can message an owner with questions about their RV at any time, right from their listing. You can also find your message inbox at the top of the homepage right next to the site menu. *Note - You must be signed into the site to use the messaging feature.

Reservation Information

All of the details about your rental booking, including your payment details, can be found on the My Rentals page. This is where you will suggest or accept any changes to a rental inquiry.

Booking an RV

Checking RV Availability & Delivery

To see if an RV is available for the dates you are requesting, enter your dates into the booking box, located below the RV photos. 

After selecting your trip dates, the system will prompt you to select pickup or delivery, if the owner offers this. Select the delivery option and enter the address of where you want the RV delivered. Be sure to select a prepopulated address that the system offers.

Mileage & Generator Allowances

To locate the mileage and generator hour allowances on a drivable RV, click Taxes & Fees in the booking box. Owners set their own allowances and overage fees.

Payment

If you have not entered your payment information already on the My Account page, you will enter your card number during the booking process. Your card is not charged until you have completed the verification and the owner has accepted your request. *Good Sam RV Rentals will never contact you to make a payment outside of the platform. 

Driver Verification

You will automatically be prompted to complete your driver verification at the end of the booking process. Do not skip this step. Skipping the driver verification can result in a delay of your rental being confirmed. You must complete the verification, regardless of the circumstances of your rental.

Insurance

How You're Covered

You are required to select an insurance package during checkout. There are three different options you can choose from that vary by deductible, cost, and coverage. As a renter, you are responsible for any damage that happens while you are in possession of the RV. 

The purchase of daily insurance does not cover the cost of the deductible or any damages that you may be responsible for. 

What If Damage Occurs?

In the event of a minor issue or questions regarding the RV, please contact the owner ASAP. They will ultimately be the one that will make decisions about how to move forward. In the case of an accident, please move to a safe location if possible and contact the police immediately. If need be, please contact roadside assistance and inform the owner as soon as possible. Please take photos of the damage and email [email protected] so we can start the claims process.

We will determine if an insurance claim needs to be made. If the damage does not meet the deductible amount, you will pay out of pocket for repairs. If an insurance claim does need to be made, you will pay the deductible and insurance will cover costs over the deductible amount.

Pre- & Post-Trip Walkthrough & Forms

Rental Forms

The rental forms must be completed and signed by both you and the owner before and after the trip. These are important to protect you in the event that the owner tries to claim damage on their RV that you did not cause. Please make sure you have a copy with you during your trip, as it contains the insurance and roadside assistance information you may need while you're on the road.

Before Your Trip

The pick-up location and time is set between you and the owner. Please present your driver's license to the owner at arrival. Your license must be valid for the entirety of the trip and you must be the person on the rental agreement. 

It is your responsibility to make sure any existing damage is documented properly before the trip starts, i.e. photos and rental forms. If something in the RV is not as advertised, please contact us at [email protected] immediately, so we can rectify the situation. Once the rental forms are signed and you take posession of the keys, you are agreeing that everything is satisfactory with the RV and you are accepting it as is.

After Your Trip

Please be sure that everything is recorded and correct before signing the rental forms at the end of a trip. Make sure both your copy and the owner's copy are signed and contain the same information.
